Effect of Arctium lappa on urine excretion

Abstract

|
|
Arctium lappa(Compositae) has been used as antiinflammatory, antitoxic and diuretic in folk remedies. It was examined diuretic action of seed, root and leaf of it in normal and mercuric chloride intoxicated rat. Urine volume, urinary electrolyte and chemical parameters in blood serum were determined. MeOH extracts of seed and leaf showed the significant diuretic activities.
